Test an AI Search Summary by Opening the Sources Behind It

A search summary can help you find relevant pages, but its wording still needs verification. Choose the claims that matter to your decision and open their linked sources. A citation beside a sentence is a starting point, not the end of the check.

Try a bounded example

For a fictional question about a service feature, inspect whether the linked page actually discusses that feature, platform and account type. A general product homepage may not establish the specific restriction in the answer.

Read the surrounding passage and note its date where available. Determine whether it states a current capability, an announced plan or an example. If the source changed after the summary was generated, use the inspected current evidence and record the difference.

Check before accepting

Separate the answer you can support from the questions still open. Do not fill a gap by combining unrelated snippets into a stronger claim. Where a practical test is necessary, describe the test as pending until it has actually been performed.

Keep a brief source note with the final decision. For consequential topics, use the appropriate authoritative guidance and qualified help rather than relying on a general search summary. This workflow checks the relationship between an answer and its sources; it does not make every source trustworthy.
